Sansevieria is the snake plant, also called mother-in-law's tongue: a clump of stiff, upright leaves shaped like swords, banded in deep and pale green. We deliver it in Dublin with our own drivers, and across Ireland by DPD.
It comes from central Africa, and because it grows straight up rather than out, it takes very little shelf or floor space for its height. It is one of the easiest plants we have. It will take a less sunny spot, though it does best in bright, filtered light, and it likes to dry out between waterings, so water it every week or two.
It comes in a plastic nursery pot; to go with it, we have ceramic and terracotta plant pots.
Delivery
In Dublin, our own drivers deliver Monday to Saturday, the same day if you order before 11am. We don't deliver on Sundays or bank holidays.
Across the rest of Ireland, it goes with DPD, Tuesday to Friday. Order before 11am the day before; most arrive the next working day; when DPD is busy, it can take two to three working days. Any size marked “Dublin Only” stays with our own drivers, and checkout tells you if a plant can't go to your address.
