About The Garden
The Garden is a creative floral design studio, flower and plant shop marrying the wilds of Connemara with the elegance of our Georgian surrounds. Founded in 2010 by landscape gardener, Mark Grehan, the way in which flowers grow in the wild inspires our approach to flower arranging and landscape design. Our signature hand-tied bouquets are wild and sculptural yet pared back, allowing the beauty of the flowers, blooms and foliage to speak for itself.
The Garden’s studio is where we imagine and design memorable floral displays for weddings, private and commercial events, fashion shows, shoots and launches, retail, stage and film sets. We have worked on luxury weddings and events of all scales, throughout Ireland, Europe and the US.
Since studying horticulture at university, Mark has worked in London, Sydney, New York and across Ireland, as a landscape and floral designer for both private and commercial clients including Gucci, Chanel, COS, Hermès, & Other Stories, Ballynahinch Castle and Brown Thomas. Growing up in Connemara in the West of Ireland, the surrounding barren landscape of heather, bracken and gorse fields has come to greatly inspire his unique approach to floristry and landscape design.
In 2010, having always enjoyed working with people, Mark realised his dream of becoming a shopkeeper when he took over the empty foyer of Powerscourt Townhouse. Filling the space with cut flowers, exotic plants and covetable gifts, today The Garden is a much-loved, fragrant and atmospheric escape in Dublin’s city centre. Read more about the shop here.
