We choose plants the way we would for our own rooms: for the shape of the leaf, the way it sits in a pot, and whether it will still look well in February.

Everything here can be ordered online and goes out from our Dublin shops. There are trailing plants like English ivy and devil's ivy, ferns, cacti and succulents, a calathea with patterned leaves, and the snake plant and ZZ plant. If you are new to plants, start with our easy care house plants.
Each potted plant arrives in its plastic nursery pot, ready to go into a pot of your own; the orchid is the exception, and comes set in terracotta. You will find our plant pots here.
Choosing the Best Indoor Plants
The best indoor plant is the one that suits the room you have in mind, so think about the light first, then the space. Cacti and succulents want the sunniest window you have. For a darker room, the cast iron plant and English ivy cope with shade better than most, with the snake plant and ZZ plant not far behind. A plant that trails from a shelf does a different job from one that stands on the floor. If you aren't sure, ask us in either shop.

Large Indoor Plants and Indoor Trees
Sometimes a room needs one big plant rather than several small ones. Our bird of paradise plant, Strelitzia nicolai, comes in a couple of sizes, with broad, paddle-shaped leaves that open slowly from the centre. We are adding more large indoor plants over the coming weeks, among them Kentia palms and big Monsteras: the closest thing to an indoor tree.
Large plants are delivered in Dublin only, by our own drivers.
Plant Delivery in Dublin and Across Ireland
In Dublin, our own drivers deliver plants Monday to Saturday, the same day if you order before 11am. We don't deliver on Sundays or bank holidays.
Across the rest of Ireland, plants go with DPD, Tuesday to Friday. Order before 11am the day before; most arrive the next working day, though now and then DPD can take two or three. Smaller plants can go by courier; our larger plants stay in Dublin, and checkout tells you if a plant can't go to your address. There is more in our delivery information.
Our Plant Shops in Dublin
If you would rather see a plant before you buy it, both our shops keep indoor plants in Dublin: Powerscourt Townhouse on South William Street, Dublin 2, and Mill Street in Dublin 8, where the plants fill the tall windows. Order online before 11am and collect the same day from either shop.
