Cactus & Succulents

Cacti and succulents keep water in their leaves and stems, so they grow slowly and are fine if you forget to water them for a week or two.

Our Cacti and Succulents

Our cactus mix and echeveria are chosen in the shop from what has come in, so the shapes change from week to week. The jade plant has thick, rounded leaves, the aloe vera plant grows as a rosette of fleshy, spiny-edged leaves, and the snake plant grows straight up in a clump of stiff, banded leaves.

What most of them need is light: a south- or west-facing windowsill suits them best. Water only once the soil has dried out. The snake plant is the exception, and will take a less sunny spot.

Most come in plastic nursery pots, so you can choose the outer pot from our plant pots. A few of them together make a good gift: our plant gift box comes filled with cacti if you choose.

Easy Care House Plants

Cacti and succulents are the easiest house plants we sell, but not the only ones. For a room with less light, the ZZ plant and the cast iron plant do well in shade and need very little attention. For a first plant, any of these is a good choice.

Delivery

In Dublin, our own drivers deliver Monday to Saturday, the same day if you order before 11am. We don't deliver on Sundays or bank holidays.

Across the rest of Ireland, they go with DPD, Tuesday to Friday. Order before 11am the day before; most arrive the next working day; when DPD is busy, it can take two to three working days. Any size marked “Dublin Only” stays with our own drivers, and checkout tells you if a plant can't go to your address.
