A ready-to-use houseplant bug spray from Westland, for the small pests that sometimes arrive on a new plant or appear on an old one when the heating comes on: aphids, whitefly, spider mites, mealybugs, scale insects and psyllids. It also gives some protection against powdery mildew.
How to use it
- Shake the bottle well.
- Spray the plant directly, covering the tops and the undersides of the leaves, where most pests gather.
- Use it as soon as you notice pests, or as a preventative, and repeat weekly for the best results.
Good to know
Westland describes the spray as safe to use around children and pets. Even so, store it out of their reach, away from direct sunlight, and wash your hands after use.
A plant that is struggling with pests is often a plant under stress, so it's worth checking the basics too: fresh houseplant compost if it hasn't been repotted in a while, and a regular houseplant feed through spring and summer.
