A concentrated houseplant feed from Westland, in a 200ml bottle with a squeeze-and-measure cap, so each dose is the same without a measuring spoon or a mess on the counter.
It comes in five blends, each balanced for a different kind of plant. Choose the one that matches the plant; they're all used the same way.
- Houseplant : for most leafy plants on a windowsill or shelf, with added seaweed.
- Orchid : for longer flowering and deep green leaves.
- Cactus & Succulent : high in potash, for cacti and succulents.
- Citrus : enriched with magnesium, for lemon, lime and orange trees.
- Bonsai : a gentle feed that keeps top growth in check.
How to use it
- Squeeze the bottle until the cap's chamber fills, then let go. The extra drains back, leaving a 5ml dose.
- Add the dose to 1 litre of water, mix, and water it onto the compost rather than the leaves.
- In spring and summer, feed every second watering, which for most houseplants is every ten days to a fortnight.
- In autumn and winter, when plants grow slowly and need less, feed every fourth watering.
At 5ml a time, one bottle makes up to 40 litres of feed. Don't use more than the dose; a stronger feed won't help a plant grow faster.
Good to know
A plant that has just been repotted into fresh houseplant compost won't need feeding for a while, because new compost carries its own nutrients. If you'd rather feed organically, our liquid fertiliser for indoor plants from Sybotanica is made from fermented plant by-products.
