The asparagus fern, Asparagus setaceus, has fine, feathery, bright green leaves, which is why it is also called the lace fern. It isn't a true fern: it belongs to the asparagus family. We deliver it in Dublin with our own drivers, and across Ireland by DPD.
It comes from southern and eastern Africa, and it is an easy plant to look after. It likes bright, indirect light; water it about once a week, when the top few centimetres of soil have dried out.
It comes in a plastic nursery pot; ceramic and terracotta plant pots are sold separately.
Delivery
In Dublin, our own drivers deliver Monday to Saturday, the same day if you order before 11am. We don't deliver on Sundays or bank holidays.
Across the rest of Ireland, it goes with DPD, Tuesday to Friday. Order before 11am the day before; most arrive the next working day; when DPD is busy, it can take two to three working days. Any size marked “Dublin Only” stays with our own drivers, and checkout tells you if a plant can't go to your address.
For a finer, more delicate fern, see our maidenhair fern. The rest of our house plants are here, and our plant care products.
